“Look not at what is contrary to propriety”(非礼勿视),
“listen not to what is contrary to propriety”(非礼勿听),
“speak not what is contrary to propriety” (非礼勿言).

The Chinese characters on the drawings are three slogans, which are taken from the old Chinese book “论语 LunYu(Analects of Confucius)”, written during the Spring and Autumn Period through the Warring States Period (ca. 475 BCE – 221 BCE).
